🏆 MONSTER'S 2024–25 WINTER WRAP-UP: A SEASON TO REMEMBER!

With another winter season drawing to a close, all of us at Monster Plowing Company want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your trust, loyalty, and partnership. This past winter marked our seventeenth season of snow and ice management in Toronto — a milestone we are proud to share with our incredible clients. From the entire Monster team: THANK YOU for making it possible!

❄ A Classic Canadian Winter Returned

The winter of 2024–25 brought Toronto a return to classic, snowy conditions, reminding us all of what a true Canadian winter feels like. From frequent accumulations to intense February storms, it was a challenging yet exhilarating season that demanded Monster’s full strength and attention.

Key highlights from this past season:

  • Total snowfall for Toronto: 135.6 cm — well above the historical seasonal average of 115.9 cm.
  • More snow in February 2025 (78.2 cm) than some entire seasons!
  • Back-to-back major snowstorms that rivaled Toronto’s infamous 1999 winter when the army was called in — this time, Monster’s snowfighting army was ready.

Despite the challenges, Monster delivered consistent, reliable service throughout the entire season, ensuring the safety and accessibility of our clients’ properties across every event.

🚛 Monster’s 2024–25 Winter by the Numbers

  • Over 35 visits made per client this winter — a major increase over an average season, with many low-impact events which still required deicing visits, especially frequently during the months of December and January.
  • Nearly 10 million sq. ft. cleared per visit, amounting to over 350 million sq. ft. serviced across the season!
  • Record-breaking ice melter usage:
    • Nearly 9 million pounds of ice melter applied across the GTA.
    • More than the combined total of the past two winters.
    • Used efficiently — averaging less than 1 lb per square foot serviced, for the entire winter!
  • Intense back-to-back-to-back snowfall spree, which hit all at once in February thereby testing the full extent of our Monster muscle.
  • Over 50,000 person-hours worked by our dedicated Monster team.

It was an intense, costly, and demanding season, but once again, Monster delivered with excellence.
